About the farm

Lluidas Vale Roots is Joan Whyte and her sons Owen and Kirk, farming the floor and slopes of the Lluidas Vale bowl. Yam, sweet potato and cassava in the red soil; ginger, turmeric and seasoning herbs in the shade beds by the house.

We dig to order on Monday and Thursday mornings and drive to Spanish Town, Portmore and Linstead on Tuesdays and Fridays, and to Kingston on Saturdays.
